Friends of Marijuana

Rick Simpson is the Mother Teresa of the marijuana movement.  He has made and distributed his cure for cancer for years.  It is hard to believe that marijuana is actually the cure for cancer but the evidence is undeniable.  Rick’s cure is hemp oil, he makes it the same way as honey oil. The results are amazing, just watch his promotional video “Run From The Cure”,

Marijuana has been smoked as medicine for millenia.  Even today more and more medical uses are being discovered.  Cancer patients have used cannabis in a variety of forms since the 70s.  Rick Simpson discovered that in order to achieve the full medical potential it is necessary to consume large quantities of cannabinoids, much more than you can get from smoking.  Following his formula a patient must ingest 1 gram of “hemp oil” per day for 60 days.  After that period 70% of patients are cancer free.  He has had similar success with many other medical conditions.

The cancer fighting effects of cannabis are backed up by independant scientific research.  Studies show that marijuana kills brain cancer cells while leaving regular healthy cells alone (link1, link2).  Other research backs up the claim that marijuana cures cancer (link1, link2).  It has been known since the 70s that natural marijuana can slow cancerous tumor growth (link).  In addition it is physically impossible to have a fatal overdose on any form of marijuana.  It is not addictive, and ingesting cannabis in the form of “hemp oil” eliminates any negative effects associated with inhaling burning plant material.

Non only have these incredible results been ignored by the medical establishment and cancer associations now the RCMP has raided Rick’s house and charged him with marijuana cultivation. Rick is currently in exile in Europe because if he comes back to Canada he will have to face trial and could be sentenced to up to 14 years in prison.  Rick Simpson was awarded the High Times Freedom Fighter of the Year 2009 and had a cover story published in the January 2010 issue.

How can cancer groups such as the Canadian Cancer Society claim that they are looking for a cure? Rick has contacted as many groups as he can to get this cure to the people. He has been ignored by every one. It sure seems like a conspiracy doesn’t it?

If you take a look at the treatments for cancer today you really have to wonder why the medical establishment runs from the cure. Chemotherapy only has a 2-4% success rate in treating cancer. The process kills healthy and cancerous cells in the same way. The first chemical used in chemotherapy is same chemical in mustard gas (a chemical weapon). Today’s chemotherapy drugs are considered to be the most toxic substances ever put deliberately into the human body. The side effects of chemo are horrendous and far too many to list here, you can see that list here. It is no wonder that 75% of doctors would not even take chemo themselves if they had cancer (link).  Despite these facts they will encourage you to take chemo, and in some cases people are forced by courts into chemotherapy (link).

Radiation therapy works by damaging the DNA of cells.  It kills healthy as well as cancerous cells.  Unlike chemo doctors can target cancerous cells to minimize the damage to healthy tissue but it still does damage.  Radiation therapy also has a laundry list of side effects including hair loss and reduced white blood cell count.  Radiation therapy can actually be a cause of cancer as well.  The success rate is much higher than chemo but does not work for all types of cancer.

There are other treatments as well such as surgery, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy and others.  For each of these treatments patients are given all kinds of pharmaceutical drugs, including medical marijuana.  The pharmaceutical industry is one of the most lucrative industries on the planet.  The estimated market share is in excess of $820 billion and projected to hit $929 billion by 2012.  The cancer portion is estimated to be a $200 billion industry.  With those kind of numbers it is becoming clear why they run from the cure.

It is impossible to patent a natural plant.  Pharmaceutical companies tried and failed.  That is a contributing factor to the ongoing prohibition of marijuana.  Big pharma does not want you to be able to grow medicine yourself.  That is exactly what Rick Simpson demonstrated with his work.  His medicine can be grown by anyone in nearly any part of the world.  Hemp oil is easily produced at home without the need of any specialized equipment.  It is the absolute worst enemy of the pharmaceutical industry.

Living in exile in europe is not cheap.  Rick has never asked for any money for his contribution to mankind but now he needs our help.  Donation can be given to Rick at his website phoenixtears.ca.  We hope the best for you Rick, keep up the fight!

Like the members of LEAP Barry Cooper is an ex-cop who became a marijuana activist.  He was one of the top narcotics officers in the US prior to his awakening.  Barry has first hand experience with the corruption of the war on drugs.  The Never Get Busted Again videos are essential to any smart stoner’s education.  In his DVDs Barry explains in detail the methods used by police to search your property and put you in jail.  In the DVDs Barry speaks passionately on the injustice handed out by law enforcement and provides entertaining and accurate information on how to never get busted again.

Barry spent eight years as a narcotics officer in Texas.  He received extensive training and worked joint operations with the ATF, DEA, FBI, U.S. Military and Border Patrol. Barry is well trained in all interdiction methods including undercover operations, reversal operations, search warrants, K-9’s, traffic stops and public transportation narcotics interdiction (buses and airplanes.)  During his career, Barry had accumulated an impressive record of over 300 felony narcotics arrests, 500 misdemeanor narcotics arrests, the seizure of over fifty vehicles and millions in cash and assets.

Barry Cooper is no longer a police officer because he realized the war on drugs is a war on the people.  After conducting numerous raids and seizures it became clear that drug enforcement causes more harm on the people and their families than use of drugs. While on the force he saw other officers lie under oath, use illegal warrants, and plant drugs on people in order to get a conviction.

In his own words,

I knew what I was doing was wrong but my need for fame, adrenaline and peer acceptance overrode my good conscience.

Barry Cooper’s newest project is called Kopbusters. It is a TV show where Barry and his team bust corrupt cops. They use DEA style reverse stings and other tactics to catch corrupt police in the act. In the pilot episode the Kopbusters team set up a fake marijuana grow-op using a big HPS light, ventilation and some christmas trees. If the police conducted a proper investigation they would have never raided the “grow house”. Barry’s team caught police on camera raiding the house on an illegal warrant. Check out the trailer below,

Barry Cooper is a powerful addition to the anti-prohibition movement. His experience and passion are unmatched. It takes a lot of courage to do what he does. He is running for Texas Attorney General check out his website.

Help out Barry by purchasing his DVDs. You cannot make a better investment.

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) is a pro-legalization advocacy group made of active and retired police, judges, prosecutors, prison wardens, FBI and DEA agents and others.  Members of the group have been on the front lines in the war on drugs and that is where they get their credability.  LEAP members are conscientious objectors to the war on drugs.  Their purpose is to end the drug war entirely, not just for marijuana.

LEAP has two main goals as stated in their mission statement.  Those are:

  • To educate the public, the media, and policy makers, to the failure of current drug policy by presenting a true picture of the history, causes and effects of drug abuse and the crimes related to drug prohibition and
  • To restore the public’s respect for law enforcement, which has been greatly diminished by its involvement in imposing drug prohibition.

The group’s headquarters is in the United States but it is very much an international effort.  Since its beginning in 2002 LEAP has spread to over 80 countries across the globe.  LEAP has over 100 speakers that spread their message at all kinds of public events worldwide.  LEAP speakers were featured in the Canadian documentary “Damage Done – A Drug War Odyessy”, very good documentary.  The LEAP multimedia site has lots of videos of their speakers in action (well worth the time to check out these videos).  Also check out the official promotional video below

The fact that LEAP members are the very people fighting the war on drugs makes them hard to dismiss.  You can’t say that LEAP speakers do not know what they are talking about.  Activist groups like NORML or MPP have very knowledgeable members but they aren’t cops.  The general public who is ignorant to the ills of prohibition is more likely to listen to the police.  That is why the DARE program has gained so much momentum, except DARE straight up lies to our children. I’ll end with a quote from LEAP speaker, Jay Fleming

There are no gangs fighting over whiskey territories. Drug prohibition creates a black market with enormous profits that attracts criminals and gangs. With drugs literally worth their weight in gold, as long as people can grow gold in their basement this will not stop.

It is hard to picture a rastafarian without ganja coming to mind. Who are the Rastafari?

The Rastafari movement is a religion from the same roots as Christianity. Haile Selassie is regarded as the incarnation of god, whom they refer to as Jah. Selassie was the Emperor of Ethiopia from 1930 to 1974. His official titles, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, King of Kings and Elect of God, and his traditional lineage from Solomon and Sheba, are perceived by the Rastafari as confirmation of the return of the Messiah in the prophetic Book of Revelation in the New Testament. Selassie is considered the second coming of Jesus Christ. Rastas believe that Jesus was black and that Babylon (Western culture) has commonly depicted him as white for centuries in order to suppress the truth and gain dominion over all peoples.

The movement developed in Jamaica in the 1930s. It promotes a world view which emphasizes the importance of black people. They teach that Africa, in particular Ethiopia, is where Zion, or paradise, shall be created. Babylon is the word used to describe Western culture which is seen as totally corrupt. The word Babylon literally means confusion. Babylon also refers to the rebellion against Jah. These themes are represented by reggae artists such as Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. Marley in particular was a powerful force in spreading the word of Jah. No other single man in modern times has advanced a religious faith to hundreds of millions in the space of three decades. Today there are over a million followers worldwide; 5-10% of modern Jamaicans are followers.

Dreadlocks are worn by Rastas as an expression of inner spirituality. The dreads are symbolic of the Lion of Judah (Selassie) and are not allowed to be cut. The religion states that they must remain whole.

Ganja (marijuana) is a sacrament to the Rastafari. The burning of the herb is often said to be essential “for it will sting in the hearts of those that promote and perform evil and wrongs.” The illegality of ganja is considered an element of Babylon, it is seen as an oppressive force. Use of other drugs such as alcohol is not permitted and believed to destroy the mind. Although it has only about one million adherents, Rastafari and its inextricable relationship with cannabis are recognized everywhere on earth.
