The Mexican Congress has voted to decriminalize possession of small amounts of marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and other drugs. And their President Felipe Calderon is on the verge of signing this into law. It now awaits President Calderon’s signature. The bill says users caught with small amounts( 5 grams of marijuana, 500 milligrams of cocaine, 40 milligrams of methamphetamine or 50 milligrams of heroin) will not be criminally prosecuted. This is not law yet but it appears to be imminent.
This will make Canada’s marijuana laws the toughest in North America. Even the us has decriminalized in 21 states. This is a really good sign for the anti-prohibition movement.
